Father & Daughter Dance

It was once again that time of year. St Mary's had its annual Father & Daughter dance. It was a really special night. It was Veronica's first dance.
We started the evening with a stressful couple of hours getting ready. It was a true dose of estrogen and indecision. Thanks to my mom and sister I could just focus on the corsage and my suit.
My girls are just as short tempered and grumpy late in the afternoon as I am. It was all down hill after there were some tears, compromise and pouting.
We soon were on our way to dinner, a few pictures, a Fat Tire and a couple of Roy Rogers. We had a romantic dinner in one of Albuquerque's finest restaurants.
The food was excellent but the quiet time with the girls was special. They were flattered by all the attention and compliments.
On to the dance. We got to the dance and Veronica and Elena were ready to shake a leg. They found their friends and off they went. I got to dance a couple country western songs, and luckily we didn't hear "boots with the fur".
The girls had a good time and Veronica loves to be spun. Elena was a little shy, but after it was all said and done the dance was an exciting event for both the girls. After the dance we met up with some other dads to have an ice cream. The girls had more fun playing truth or dare in the restaurant. It was a great night. A big thank you to Grandma and Auntie Michaela for helping to bring out the princes in my two beauties.
